75 Years of Tea Aroma and Friendship, Sharing Success Together

Mr. Huang Guanghui, General Manager, Hong Kong Chuan Chiong Co., Ltd.
Chairman, Nam Pak Hong Association
Vice Chairman, The Hong Kong Food Council
It is with great pleasure that I extend, on behalf of all colleagues at Hong Kong Chuan Chiong Co., Ltd., my warmest congratulations and highest respect to China Tea (Fujian) on the glorious occasion of the 75th anniversary of its founding. Over the past seventy-five years, China Tea (Fujian) has journeyed through trials and triumphs, building a magnificent legend in the tea industry with outstanding product quality, rich cultural heritage, and a spirit of relentless innovation.
Since its inception, China Tea(Fujian) has been carrying the mission of inheriting and promoting tea and tea culture of Fujian. From its humble beginnings during the early years of New China, navigating through the challenges of a nascent industry starting from scratch, to becoming a preeminent tea enterprise in the domestic and international markets nowadays, the company now boasts well-managed tea plantations, automatically controlled production lines, advanced inspection and testing equipment, and modernized management systems. With unwavering dedication and craftsmanship, it has consistently delivered high-quality tea that has captured markets worldwide. Its jasmine tea, with the distinctive and refreshing aroma, has received several international awards. Their Butterfly jasmine tea, in particular, has become a classic cherished by numerous consumers. In the realm of white tea, the company has made great contribution through superb craftsmanship and strict quality control. Thus Fujian white tea shines as brilliant gem with fragrance scented around the world. These remarkable achievements witness not only your capability, but also empower us distributors with pride and honor.
Looking back, as one of China Tea(Fujian)'s earliest and reliable distributors, we have shared a long and close history of cooperation. Originally, Chuan Chiong Co., Ltd did not engage in tea trade, but after the founding of New China, we completely shifted to dealing China-made commodities, including food, native produce, and tea. Selling Chinese goods
in Hong Kong during those early days was challenging, as the market was small and difficulties existed. After the 1960s, Hong Kong’s population gradually increased. By our joint efforts, along with the rising national strength and influence of China, Hong Kong market gradually opened up. We even expanded to re-export tea to Southeast Asia, Europe and America. In our conference room, we proudly display the "Win-Win Cooperation Award" presented by China Tea (Fujian) on the occasion of its 70th anniversary.
Over the past seventy years, we have undergone many storms together and witnessed the ups and downs of the tea market. Among countless memories, some still remain clearly and unforgettable. In 1976, before China's opening-up policy, as a Hong Kong distributor of small-packaged Chinese tea, we were invited to visit China Tea (Fujian) in Fuzhou and Xiamen. It was my first time setting foot on the land MinJiang River region. We visited the Hedong Tea Factory in Fuzhou, where jasmine tea was being scented, and the Anxi Tea Plantation. Tea masters gave us detailed demonstrations to tea cultivation methods, varieties, and tea processing procedures, including picking, rolling, initial drying, wrap-rolling, and drying. We were deeply touched by your hospitality throughout the trip. This visit significantly enhanced our understanding of tea.

In 1976, a Letter of Thanks for the Fujian tour arrangement from Chuan Chiong Co., Ltd. to China Tea(Fujian)
With the deepening of reform and opening-up, our business progressed and exchanges from both sides gradually increased. In 1982, to strengthen ties with tea retailers and expand their comprehension of our tea businesses, Mr. Huang, General Manager of Quanchang Co., Ltd., led a delegation of our VIP retailers to visit China Tea (Fujian). They were from food sectors of over one hundred Chinese goods companies in Hong Kong, accompanied by our sales representatives. We visited Fuzhou and Xiamen, as well as Wuyi Mountain to observe the production and processing of the famous Wuyi teas. This visit played a significant role in promoting Fujian tea in Hong Kong market.

Comparing the past with today’s developments, we are even more impressed by the monumental changes China Tea(Fujian) has achieved over the decades. Every step forward embodies their hard work and wisdom of generations of tea professionals. As a long-term partner, we are deeply honored to have witnessed and contributed to this extraordinary journey.
Looking ahead, we are confident. With the rise in living standards and people’s growing awareness of personal concern, the consumption of tea has vast potential. As a pioneer enterprise in the tea industry, China Tea (Fujian) holds its strong brand advantages, product excellence, and extensive distribution networks, to ensure its big name in the market for future prospects. In the future, as always, we will work closely with your good company. In our speciality market, we will fully optimize our market resources, and actively promote your good teas. Let more people know and like Fujian tea, Chinese tea.
