My Stories with China Tea(Fujian)(III): The Tales of Fujian Tea Import & Export Co., Ltd. and JIN FENG XUAN (M) SDN BHD

At the 75th anniversary of China Tea(Fujian)’s founding, as its major distributor in the Malaysian market, an exclusive interview was made with Mr. Lin Xiaojie, the General Manager of JIN FENG XUAN (M) SDN BHD.

Why do you choose China Tea Butterfly among so many tea suppliers?

We have been with China Tea(Fujian) since 2016. As a genuine native of Fuzhou, I’m quite familiar with Butterfly jasmine tea and white tea. I know well your tea and was growing up witnessing my father and grandfather drinking Butterfly tea. China Tea(Fujian) is celebrating its 75th anniversary of foundation this year and with this 75-year history, that I’m putting my confidence in doing businesses with your company.

With China Tea Butterfly, what is your unforgettable stories?
In 2019, China Tea (Fujian) launched a product called “Shengshi Mudan” (Prosperous Peony White Tea) to commemorate its 70th anniversary. It was truly stunning with remarkable aroma and very sweet taste. So I felt a strong connection to that tea. For us Chinese people, including overseas Chinese, the name "Shengshi Mudan", prosperous peony, recalls our resonation and meas a lot. "Shengshi" in Chinese is prosperity. So, that year in 2019, when the promotion team led by Mr. Chen (the GM of the company) came to Malaysia for their tea tasting and marketing, the product was shooting over 200 cartons sales, making its the best-seller in our records.

Do you have any expectation with us in developing the Malaysian market?

I hope that tea enthusiasts in Malaysia could have good white tea with safety assurance. Moreover, drinking tea would be good to your life from most of tea chasers’ perspectives. We hope that everyone in Malaysia may have the chance to taste your white tea and that is what we are doing.
