Part 1: The Dancing Butterfly - Memories of Home and Country in Jasmine Tea

As a traditional famous tea from Fujian province, jasmine tea has long been loved by consumers around the world.

In the early days after the founding of New China, the production and export of Fuzhou jasmine tea dropped at relatively low level. In 1953, its export volume was merely 0.25 tons.

Since its establishment, China Tea(Fujian) has actively supported and guided the production of baking fixation green tea scented with jasmine tea of high fragrance and pure taste. In 1955, the company began to export jasmine tea directly. In 1957, the annual export volume reached 333 tons, resuming the historical level.

After the 1970s, the company has started focusing on small packaged jasmine tea. In 1981, some products, such as the yellow can jasmine tea, made were showcased at the first Chinese Tea Exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan.

The company's first-grade jasmine tea was twice awarded the "International Golden Laurel Leaf Award for Quality" by the International Gastronomy and Tourism Association of France in 1985 and 1986, becoming an essential item in high-end hotels and a prestigious gift for social events around the world, earning great popularity both at home and abroad. This honor marked a new beginning — in the years that followed, "Butterfly" jasmine tea went on to win several other international awards, including the "Golden Camel Prize China Famous Tea for Century Expo" in 2015, establishing itself as a paragon of Chinese tea's global presence.
