Reflections on “Grain Rain(Gu Yu)”: Three Rituals to Embrace the Spring Tea

"The Grain Rain brings life to the crops, and the world basks in the gentle clarity of spring. April in Chinese Jiangnan arrives with tender breezes and drifting clouds, the ideal time to appreciate the fragrance of Dragon Well."
Solitary Sip with the "Beauty Cup": Embracing Spring in Solitude
Moments of solitude are best spent savoring slowly. Hold a translucent "Beauty Cup", as elegant as a lady’s slender hand cradling jade, to capture the shape, aroma, color, and soul of Longguan Dragon Well tea.

Warming up the teacup: Gently scald the inside of cup with boiling water to warm it through, awakening the hidden essence of the tea.
Adding tea: Put in about 2g of new crop Longguan Dragon Well, and lie them flat at the bottom. The bowl nails -shaped dry leaves are green, fresh, even and uniform.
Steeping & Smelling Fragrance: Slowly pour 90°C water along the wall until one-third full. Gently swirl to moisten the leaves, letting the buds unfurl as a delicate, ethereal fragrance begins to drift. Fill until 70% full (reaching the Longguan logo), watching the tea buds gracefully descend, a feast for the eyes.
Appreciating: With a light sip, the initial taste is crisp and refreshing, like a spring breeze brushing across the tongue. Then comes a combination of tender and floral notes, elegant and profound. The finish is sweet with a lingering aftertaste. One person, one cup, one steep, immerse yourself in this tranquil joy, letting the sweet freshness of Longguan Dragon Well soothe your solitary hours.
Tea for Many: Brewing with Gaiwan to Share the Elegance of Spring
When treating friends or enjoying family time, Gaiwan is considered one of the most elegant teaware. A white porcelain Gaiwan can facilitate the concentration of flavor, and the release of aroma, fully revealing the full-bodied sweetness and intricate layers, making itself an ideal pairing with the tea appreciation in spring time.`

Preparing Teaware: Use a 150ml white porcelain Gaiwan, along with a fair-cup and tasting cups. Rinse first with boiling water to ensure its cleanness and suitable temperature.
Adding Tea: Add 3g of Longguan Dragon Well. The dry leaves exude a refined fragrance; shake the cup gently to release a scent that refreshes the soul.
Brewing: Moisten the leaves with 90°C water for 10 seconds. Then, pour water gently along the inner wall, avoiding the centre of the tea. Let the gaiwan unlidded to keep the tender buds vibrant and fresh.
Delivering soup: The first steep, a quick infusion for just 10secs. The liquor is a bright, tender green, with crisp, mellow, fresh and smooth taste. Extend the time slightly for the second steep, enjoying a full-bodied aroma, and a mellow, thick flavor. The third steep remains sweet and refreshing with a long-lasting finish. Sit across from one another, cups in hand, sharing stories of daily life. Every sip is a gift from spring. Amidst the swirling tea mists, friendship and the flavors of spring intertwine, making every moment of the gathering count.
