Brewing Methods
Due to being lightly roasted, it is recommended to brew both traditional Gongfu way and using common glass. Cold brew also yields an impressive performance.
Gongfu Brew
- Preheat the teaware with hot water
- Add an appropriate amount of tea (4-5g recommended)
- Smell dry tea aroma,
- Pour in 100°C boiling water to rinse and awake tea, quickly pour out the water
- Pour freshly boiled water again, steep for about 3secs
- The steeping time can be prolonged according to personal taste in the subsequent infusions. Multiple brewing times allowed
- Fenghuang Dancong is rich in inner-substances, over-steeping may lead to bitterness. Empty the tea soup completely each infusion
Glass Brew
- Add tea to a pot or glass, tea-to-water ratio of around 1:80 recommended
- Could adjust tea amount according to personal preference
- Brew with hot water at the temperature of 95-100°C
Cold Brew
- Add tea to a pot or glass, tea-to-water ratio is around 1:80 recommended
- Could increase or reduce tea amount according to your preference
- Brew with cold water.
